General Counsel of FUJIFILM Europe GmbH & Head of Legal at FUJIFILM’s EMEA regional headquarter based in Düsseldorf/Germany.

Oboama manages FUJIFILM’s EMEA legal affairs including Russia and Turkey with a team of currently twelve in-house lawyers complemented by a panel of multinational and local law firms. His areas of responsibility include M&A, corporate restructurings, compliance, litigation and the overall legal responsibility for R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and services operations across FUJIFILM’s Imaging, Medical, Graphics, Optical and Industrial business domains.

Prior to FUJIFILM, Oboama performed various in-house legal and management roles for multinational companies including Amadeus IT Group, Nortel Networks, Cisco Systems and Canon Europe.

Oboama is a corporate generalist with specialist knowledge in M&A, anti-trust law, IT law, regulatory compliance and commercial technology transactions.

He has lived and worked in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt a.M., London and Munich. He is bilingual in English and German and speaks, reads and writes French and Dutch fluently.

After graduating with a law degree from Free University in Berlin, Oboama completed a post-graduate degree in English Commercial Law at the College of Law in London and was later admitted as a Solicitor in London.

Oboama is currently admitted to practice law as a Rechtsanwalt in Germany and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales. He is also a member of the European Lawyers Association, of the German Association of Law and Informatics and of various international General Counsel round-tables.
